Resources
fine line
In addition to our charts, we have included an extensive database of information for traders. This ranges from daily comments ... to contract specs ... to analyzing government reports. This section presents information that is divided into these 6 categories: Analysis, Calendar, News, Contract Specifications, Advisory Services and Glossary.

  • Analysis
    • Daily Indicators
This table shows daily updates on the 8 major technical studies included in the charts section for the major 40 US futures markets. In addition to prices, data is updated for: volume/open interest, Relative Strength Index, Stochastics, ADX, Accumulation/Distribution Index, William %R, and Moving Averages. This section provides "one-stop shopping" for updates on all the major indicators used by traders.
    • Commitment of Traders
Produced every week, this report is a summary of the open interest in 43 major futures markets as reported by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The data is divided into three categories: large speculators, large hedgers, and small traders.

While the information is graphically shown in our charts, this table compiles all the information in a unique format that makes it easy to analyze and understand. The Net Traders Position Index is the actual difference between the number of long positions held by each group minus the number of short positions. Thus a positive number means they hold more long positions that short and vice versa.

    • Market Sentiment
Produced every week, this report surveys leading market analysts and produces a sampling of their views on 33 commodity markets, expressed as a percentage of bullish sentiment.

While this information is graphically shown on our weekly charts, this table compiles the information in a easy to read numerical format.

The market sentiment used by Pricecharts.com is the Bullish Consensus published by Market Vane Corp., P.O. Box 90490, Pasadena, CA 91109-0490.
